We are a boutique of European industry representations of a wide range of manufacturers of advanced packaging (and alike) materials and solutions as well as technical applications. We represent more than 130 member companies producing different kinds of flexible packaging or engaged in aluminium foil rolling or manufacturing aluminium closures, semi-rigid containers and household foil.

Your main tasks:

  • Monitoring EU legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the sectors represented
  • Analysing policy documents, institutional positions, amendments, consultations, and technical files, tailoring every analysis to the various sector groups represented
  • Preparing short, clear and accurate briefings, meeting notes, stakeholder updates, and internal reports
  • Supporting the preparation of advocacy materials, position papers, consultation responses, and presentations
  • Attending events, conferences, hearings, receptions, and stakeholder meetings in Brussels
  • Helping to grow and maintain AMS Europe’s Brussels network
  • Supporting the Manager of Public Affairs in the daily coordination of Brussels-based advocacy work
  • Using AI and digital tools intelligently to support monitoring, research, drafting, and analysis

Your profile:

  • 2–3 years of experience in EU public affairs (EU institution, trade association, NGOs, consultancy, company, or similar organisation)
  • A good understanding of the EU decision-making process and the Brussels stakeholder environment
  • Proactive critical thinking and string analytical skills to work with technical policy documents
  • Professional social skills, with willingness to expand your network
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • German language skills would be a plus
  • Chemical background or experience would be a plus
  • A proactive, curious, and reliable working style, with transparent communication
  • Confidence using AI and digital tools in a responsible and critical way
  • Willingness to travel when needed
