Manager Recycling Projects (m/f/d)
We are looking for a new team member (full- or part-time) to overview and conduct various projects and studies mainly in the field of recycling, for aluminium foil, aluminium closures, flexible packaging and related applications.
We represent about 130 member companies producing different kinds of flexible packaging or engaged in aluminium foil rolling or manufacturing aluminium closures, semi-rigid containers and household foil. As an association, our objective is to ensure the represented products are supporting sustainable consumption and production and are positioned positively in the sustainability debate. For that, we are actively conducting and/or supporting many activities including dedicated development projects, scientific studies (e.g. lifecycle assessments), education and advocacy.
Your main tasks:
- Managing (and/or taking active part in) studies and projects in the field of recycling (aluminium foil applications in packaging and technical sectors, aluminium closures and flexible packaging) and (packaging) waste management in general
- Building relationship with key stakeholders of the relevant waste management sectors
- Gathering and sharing best practices of national recycling initiatives
- Qualitative research of emerging recycling technologies
- Bridging capabilities and demands between recyclers and potential users of recyclates
- Representing the industry in relevant European and national organisation
Your profile:
- Ideally some years of relevant professional experience (in waste management or a packaging material sector)
- Scientific mind and appetite for working and developing expertise in technical and industrial domains
- Intercultural and diplomatic skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of an international team
- Willingness to travel for business
- Very good writing skills with ability to develop and clearly communicate
You have an academic degree, ideally with a focus on engineering (material science, waste management) and/or business administration.
Thanks to your excellent relationship-building skills and your interpersonal flexibility you can interact with people from different cultures and nationalities. You are fluent in English and maybe have knowledge of another (European) language.
